CASSONS Framing is run by Ashtead resident Dean Casson, an ex Graphic Designer, Chartered Environmental & Safety Engineer, Stay at Home Dad, and since 2013....a Guild Certified and experienced friendly Picture Framer!
A local business offering quality picture framing from a purpose built and well equipped framing workshop in Ashtead. Originally opened in Brussels, Belgium the business was brought to Ashtead in 2019.
Trained by one of the UK's leading picture framers, and a Member of the Fine Art Trade Guild, Dean is qualified to appreciate and care for your treasured artwork, object or whatever it is that requires framing.
A creative type, with an eye for colour and detail he has the skills and experience to help you choose the frame combination that will complement your artwork. We have a wide array of high quality mouldings, mountboard and glass to choose from and will help you select those that best suit your artwork and of course, budget.
No job is too small, from the replacement of broken picture glass, to a large creative bespoke frame we are happy to help and offer free advice and no obligation quotes. We really look forward to meeting you and helping with your picture framing needs.
Our Workshop & Shop Window
Studio Workshop
We create hand crafted picture frames from our purpose built and well equipped studio workshop. We have the high quality precision machinery and equipment you would expect in a professional picture framers.
We use the best suppliers of moulding, mountboard and glass and have over 600 chevrons to choose from in the workshop and access to literally thousands more. We use conservation mountboards as standard in a huge range of colours and types and have a range of glass options to offer a variety of protection and clarity to your artwork.
We are fully insured and all our framing is done on the premises.
Our Shop Window
As a web and garden workshop based business we don't have a High Street shop window . However, we do have "Dave" our lovingly restored VW camper.
He's our rolling shop window and delivery van - so give us a wave if you see us out and about delivering finished picture frames or collecting supplies.
We do like to show him off and get involved in the Local Community so you may see us at local Charity Events and School Fairs.

As a small local business we realise a visit to your local picture framers needs to be as easy and enjoyable as possible. We offer framing advice, great service, flexible appointments, home collection & drop off service. We've even been known to collect customers from the train station to come and look at framing ideas.
We have off-road parking, and offer free no obligation quotes & advice and free delivery within a 3 mile radius of Ashtead and Leatherhead
Home Collections / Consultations
If you have mobility limitations and struggle to get to us but would like some framing - maybe we can come to you to collect your artwork and discuss your framing at home within 3 miles radius of our workshop. Just drop us a line and we'll do our best to help.
Virtual Framing - Visualisation
We have frame visualisation software which can show how your artwork would look in a variety of design combinations. This can help rule options in or out and reduce, or in times of Lockdown, eliminate the actual consultation time in our workshop. All we need is a decent photograph and the dimensions of your artwork and we can give you some options...just contact us with your details.
Flexible Appointments
We operate using an appointment booking system, from our Garden studio workshop - this ensures you get our undivided attention and limits the number of people at any one time ensuring everyone's safety.
Appointments last an hour but usually take around 20 -30 minutes as we run through the various options and guide you to a frame design that's perfect for your artwork and budget.
If you don't see a time or day that works for you on the system please give us a call as we can often do evening or weekend appointments.
